Okay-  You are probably asking yourself "Why is it that backwards wheelies are listed as an easier trick that I should learn over regular peg wheelies?"   The answer is this- I think they are easier!  Why?  Because you don't HAVE to coast backwards wheelies- you can squeak them (like squeakers) as well you can really get your back brakes into the trick.  Regular dork wheelies (peg wheelies) can't really be helped along- and if you hit your brakes to hard the trick is over....  Kind of like squeakers being easier than hang-5's.

It is important to know how to do endos and it helps to have learned or be learning sliders at the same time that you try backwards wheelies.

This is another fun trick to learn to do.  As with sliders it teaches you a LOT about rolling backwards and controlling your bike.  As you get better and better at the trick you will use the brakes less and less.  In fact it is possible to do this trick COMPLETELY brakeless if you would like... it just makes riding in a lot tougher.   There are alos variations to this trick you can learn including doing it one-handed and spinning the bars.

You can ride into backward wheelies from about every trick you can imaging- decades, fire-hydrants, squeakers, gerators...  whatever!  Some things are much easier to do than others into (or out of them)...  But the choices are limitless.  A good trick to do out of backwards wheelies is decades....  but it's not easy.

If you have a question about this trick please feel free to e-mail it in...
